Ball Valve

Ball Valve :

Ball valves fall under the category of On/Off valves.
The on/off mechanism of ball valves works by rotating the stem connected to the hollow spherical disc. The disc’s hole is aligned perpendicular to the flow path, allowing the valve to open or close.

Advantages of ball valves include low opening and closing torque, minimal pressure drop when fully open, and quick operation within a quarter turn. A disadvantage is that they cannot be used in a partially open position.
