Tank level measurement using float level transmitters(Submersible Level Transmitter)
Float-type level transmitters measure the liquid level in tanks by equating the hydrostatic pressure of the fluid. In this way, the minimum and maximum hydrostatic pressures resulting from the fluid height are calculated based on the tank’s min and max levels, and the transmitter is calibrated over this span.

For measuring the level of tanks where mounting a connection on the body is not feasible, the most efficient option is to use float level transmitters. Unlike ultrasonic mechanisms, they are not affected by dust or vapor on the liquid surface, and compared to radar-based systems, they are much more cost-effective. These transmitters are suitable for measuring water levels in wells, underground aquifers up to approximately 300 meters deep, lakes, concrete tanks, fuel tanks, and more. Installation does not require process shutdown or structural modifications to the tank body.

The accuracy of these transmitters is high (up to 0.25% of F.S.V), and they have low maintenance costs. Other advantages include easy installation and high reliability due to the simplicity of their mechanism.
