A vibration switch is a simple protective device that senses vibrations and shuts down the equipment if a vibration exceeds a predetermined threshold.

For machines with critical operations, electric vibration switches use a precise accelerometer to monitor and control vibration levels.

Vibration switches are primarily used to protect rotating machinery and can also provide alerts in the absence of vibration, such as when a conveyor stops due to a broken drive.
