The best installation orientation for a vortex flowmeter is vertical, which prevents air pockets and minimizes the risk of damage if any solid particles are present in the fluid.
Correct installation for gases:
When measuring a gas containing a small amount of liquid, the flowmeter should be installed at the highest point of the pipe.
Correct installation for liquids:
When measuring a liquid containing a small amount of gas, the vortex flowmeter should be installed at the lowest point of the pipe.
