Capacitive Level Sensor
Capacitive level sensors can monitor the tank level continuously or discretely. For powder materials, one of the options is to use capacitive level switches. As the name suggests, the operation of these level meters is based on the capacitive property usually established between the tank surface and the sensor electrode. The more material present between the electrode and the tank surface, the higher the dielectric property of the capacitor, which allows obtaining an output proportional to the tank level. In switch or discrete output models, the level switch is essentially a capacitive proximity sensor.
The advantages of this measurement method include the absence of moving parts and stable performance over a long period. As mentioned, capacitive level sensors are used for powdery and granular materials, as well as for identifying the boundary points between two liquids with different densities in a tank.

Applications Capacitive Sensor and Capacitive Level Sensor of C3 Series
The capacitive level sensor used for measuring the level of materials inside tanks is used to measure material levels, and the output current varies from 4 mA to 20 mA according to the material level
C3 Series Capacitive Level Sensor suitable for electrically conductive materials
Specification C3 Series Capacitive Level Sensor
This level sensor has a long lifespan and requires minimal maintenance
Operating Principle of the C3 Series Capacitive Level Sensor
The sensor operates based on changes in capacitance between the probe and the body. The sensor detects changes as the space between the probe and body fills with material, causing the capacitance to change, which is reflected in the output. If the tank body is non-metallic, a special tube provided with the sensor can be installed to create an auxiliary electrode. The sensor measures the material level under the same conditions
