Diaphragm seals
If the fluid has high viscosity or is highly corrosive, diaphragm seals should be used.
A diaphragm seal prevents direct contact between the fluid and the instrument.
These sensors, typically made of metal or specific types of flexible polymers, are constructed as either a flat or corrugated diaphragm.
Strengths of diaphragm seals:
Ability to protect other pressure measuring instruments from adverse conditions
Sealing capability
In many pressure measuring instruments, a diaphragm is used as the pressure sensor, utilizing the displacement property of the diaphragm seal.
or the stretching property of its surface is used for measurement.
For example, capacitive, inductive, resistive, and piezoelectric transducers use the displacement created by the diaphragm to measure pressure changes, while strain gauge transducers utilize the stretching property of the diaphragm surface.

Types of diaphragm seals :
Flanged, threaded, welded, etc.
