Transmitter
Passive Transmitter: This type of equipment, which is one of the most commonly used transmitters, does not have a separate power supply path and receives the required supply voltage through the same output lines from auxiliary devices such as RTU, PLC, etc. It then sends the measured quantity as a standard current through the output lines. This eliminates the need for additional wiring for power in measuring instruments and allows them to be powered via their connected output lines without requiring a separate power source.
Active Transmitter: This type of industrial equipment sends the measured quantity as a standard 4–20 mA current over two lines, but requires a separate power supply for proper operation, which must be provided accordingly. Therefore, this type of transmitter does not save on wiring and does not have the advantages of a passive transmitter.

پسیو (غیر فعال) : این نوع تجهیزات که یکی از پر کاربردترین ترانسمیتر ها می باشد، مسیر تغذیه جداگانه ندارد و ولتاژ مورد نیاز تغذیه خود را روی همان خطوط جریان خروجی از دستگاه جانبی مثل RTU یا PLC و غیره دریافت میکند و سپس کمیت اندازه گیری شده را به صورت جریان استاندارد روی خطوط خروجی ارسال می کند. اینکار باعث می شودکه سیم کشی اضافی برای تغذیه درتجهیزات اندازه گیری مورد نیاز نباشد و همچنین بدون نیاز به برق جداگانه از طریق خطوط اتصال یافته به خروجی های آنها تغذیه شوند.
