The operating principle of pressure measurement with Bellows.

Pressure measurement with Bellows is another method for measuring pressure. The Bellows element is an elastic, one-piece component typically made in the shape of a thin, corrugated tube similar to an accordion and operates similarly to a coiled spring. In a measuring device of this type, when the pressure changes, the force applied to the bellows causes it to either contract or expand, resulting in movement of its free end. This displacement is proportional to the applied pressure and can either directly display pressure changes with a pointer or generate a corresponding electrical signal through a transducer.

Since the behavior of the bellows is linear in the compressed state, a spring is used to keep it always in the compressed state, and thus, the entire displacement of the bellows occurs in its compressed form. The linearity of the bellows is one of the most significant advantages of this sensor.
