Every day, a large quantity of food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and cosmetic products is produced and supplied to the market by the industry. The quality of these products has a direct impact on human health, and according to international regulations (FDA and GMP), manufacturers are obligated to comply with all principles affecting the quality of consumable products in order to meet the required standards set by regulatory organizations. Naturally, adhering to these standards and delivering a safe, high-quality end product will, in the long run, effectively meet customer needs and ensure their satisfaction.

Temperature and pressure measurement, as well as the use of instrumentation in food and pharmaceutical production lines, is essential and unavoidable. However, the measuring instruments used in this industry must feature a distinct design and specific characteristics to prevent any potential decline in product quality caused by the equipment during the production process. Below, we will highlight a few examples of such features.

1-  All components of the equipment must be easy to clean.

2- Raw materials and finished products should not chemically react with or contaminate the surfaces of measuring instruments.

3- No microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, etc.) should enter the production line through potential openings in the measuring equipment, nor should they be capable of spreading.

4- The physical and chemical properties of the raw materials should not change during the process, the nature of the produced food material must remain unchanged, and no toxic or harmful substances should be generated.

To comply with the above requirements for measuring physical quantities of fluids (pressure, temperature, etc.) in these industries, equipment must be used whose wetted parts are made of highly durable and chemically inert materials—primarily S.S. 316L and S.S. 316Ti. These devices are manufactured in accordance with the relevant standards and will be used in the mentioned industries.
